Jesse Lent creates songs about the experience of being a human being.
As bassist and producer of CSC Funk Band (with members of Gwar, Talibam! and Bad Manners), the first instrumental act signed to legendary hip-hop label Fat Beats, Jesse’s album Funkincense was singled out by Spin as an essential Record Store Day release.
With his garage rock band The Monte Vista receiving significant airplay in the UK, Jesse disbanded the group and formed The Sweetheartz of the Psychic Rodeo with Brady Oh, the voice of Garmadon in the Lego Ninjago Movie.
Their debut album The Originals has been streamed over 260,000 times.
An established soundtrack composer, Jesse’s animated score for the humanitarian agency OCHA was retweeted by UN Secretary-General António Guterres in July of 2022.
In January of 2025, Jesse had the honor of a lifetime--getting his new album mastered at Abbey Road in London by the legendary Miles Showell (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Cure, The Police, The Breeders, Portishead, Amy Winehouse). Entitled Doctor Sleep, the album is slated for independent release in late February of 2025.
